I just ordered my springs today, I need some good pushrods and rocker studs. Whats a good brand to go with on each?

Also with my heads, Since I think I'm going to go with the F-13 cam, what size valves/type should I go with and where can I get the heads machined for the bigger valves?

 

any of the major companies like Comp sell hardened pushrods that will suit your need.

as for the heads...are you talking on stock 5.7l heads??

why not just buy some ported heads from a reputable company?

 

They arent going to be stock when i'm done with them. I'm going a P&P on my own time to save the extra, what 1200 bucks!? Plus i've ported a couple sets of older 70's GM heads, so I kinda know what I'm doing, but I've been advised on the differences and what to do. Before I bolt em on i'm going to get them flow benched also so that i know i did it right. and if that doesnt work out.. ebay

 

oh yeah, and since I'm going to go with the F13, What size injectors am I going to have to go with? AAAh the price is adding up....

 

ford motorsports 30# injectors....at the fuel pressure taht the ls1 operates at they flow like 36# injectors.

they are inexpensive...new i think only $250ish

 

but the tune to get it to run with the new injectors won't be....

 

I'm going to need a tune when i get through anyways. I'm gonna go see ed wright..
