I want to get the ASP underdrive pulley set. If it underdrives the alternator, AC, water pump, power steering......while I'm driving.......would my AC (if it was on Max and the fan on full) not blow as much air because of the underdrive pulley? Same for the alternator, will my headlights not be as bright?

My friend installed underdrive pullies on his '96 T/A and the kit comes with a smaller pulley to put on the alternator so that it still spins at the same (or close to the same) speed. I know once they were installed, he didn't notice a difference in the volts being produced.

Regarding the AC though?? I'm not sure if/how it would be affected. Sorry.

I dont think that the engine RPM has anything to do with the velocity of the air coming through the vents. I think that is handled by an electric motor. The belt on the motor is just turning the compressor for the A/C.

I'm not talking about engine RPMs. The pulley kit underdrives the Air Conditioning. What I want to know is, if it is being underdriven, will it still cool the interior the same? Will the AC have to work harder? If I have it on Max with the Fan on Max, will it still blow and cool the same as stock?

Then you really want to know if the compressor is turning at a slower rate will it still function the same...

Or rather, at what speed would the compressor have to turn to run effectively?

I dont know the answers but am helping you restate them so that WE can find out as I am wanting pulleys as well.

yeah, still no one around to answer... I am going to guess that it must not be that much of an issue as I have seen many people today with them and we are in Texas were it gets hella hot!
