I just purchased a set of LS7 lifters, is it still recommended to pre soak them in new oil for 24hrs before installing?

Ok i got my lifters in today, i'm a little confused on how they go in.....There's an oil hole on each lifter, it can either be on the left or right but i'm just wondering if it makes a difference which way they go in, i got some pics to explain it a little better.

Here's a shot with the lifter and hole installed on the right, this is the drivers side front of the engine btw.....Is that how they all go in?

doesnt matter, the oil pressure equalizes around the necked down version in the center anyway

 

Double check your pushrod length with those. Their cup height and preload specs are different, and WILL require a different length pushrod than with a stock LS1 lifter.

 

From all the research i've done it seems like only the LT1 guys are having problems with their pushrod length. I'm going to measure the pushrod lenght anyway, the only problems i've heard are people getting a slight tick at warm up.
