Just took my 99 z to the dealer today to get some work done. One being the power steering. It's been squawking when I turn left more than right. Also it seems to be wet around the tubes. They said they couldn't find anything. Any idea's or anyone ever had this problem.

 

Meaning that the steering rack is leaking ?



Did you check to see if the power steering level was low ?

Is this noise only @ lock - I.E. the relief valve squealing ?

More importantly - since you have taken it to the dealer ! , do you have an extended warranty ?

(Dealer typically = Big $'s !! )

I don't know if this will solve your problem but I've used www.lucasoil.com power steering stop leak in the past with good results, after about a hundred miles it stoped making the whinning noise.

?2 Yes I did. And no it isnt't. This is why I needed it looked at and why I'm .

?3 I don't know what @ lock means (sorry) so I couldn't tell you if it was the relief value.

?4 If I didn't have a extended warranty. I wouldn't take it to a dealer. By the way the dealer bought the warranty. (another long story).
