Power Steering Leak. . .

For about a month I have been losing power steering fluid. I know where is is coming out, but am not sure the best/cheapest way to fix it. The leak is coming from the where the steering shaft goes into the steering gear. I have a Hayne's Repair Book and it doesnt address how to fix a leak here, just shows how to replace it. Is it possible to reseal the with something so I dont have to get a new shaft or steering gear? It leaks right on top of the gear where the shaft goes in so it makes the think its the seal. I have tried the Lucus stop leak and it slowed it down but didnt fix it. Any ideas anyone? 600 for the steering gear isnt my kind of upgrade.

Re: Power Steering Leak. . .

So with just a stall/shift kit, full exhaust, LS6 intake/CAI (Lid?), and SFC's and your running 12.50s?? I thought the 12 second LS1's were the 01-02s because they were more common for LS6 H/C/I? Sounds like yours runs pretty decent

Back when my car had the same mods with no headers it ran a 12.15 @ 110. It was a really cold great air day at the track but it would run 12.3-5 all summer.
