Possibilities?
Got a 2002 z28 5.7L, if possible I want to build the biggest engine i can that will fit in it's engine compartment. What is the largest build while maintaining the ability to run off 93 octane? If anyone can throw me some advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Kinda new at this stuff and just need a little kick start help ya know, luckly i'm a fast learner
some one posted a link to a new block bassed on the LSx design that has the capabilities of 511ci
but typical strokers these days are using the ls2 blocks and the new 6.2L block.
some of the typical "big" engines are 402, 408 and 413ci
you can also go up to the 427 that VRE makes...check them out on the vendor list

An LS1 block can be re-sleeved (and with a nice long stroke) out to ~454 c.i.
. Then if you get into that LSx block directly from GM ...
... 500+!!
Insane!
... and it all fits exactly the same as stock!!
Not like trying to stuff a big-block in where a small-block barely fits

Warlock block or the new LSX block... The LSX block has the capability to have a max displacement of 572 cid or something like that.
