Is porting the mass air flow housing worth it?

I did it and it is a great mod IMO. GMHTP just did a dyno test on a ported maf and got 5 rwhp , that's awesome for a free mod. People pay $50 for the smooth bellows and get nothing from the dyno (also done by GMHTP mag this month).
You can see my mods and times in sig , they speak for themselves.
As for leaning out, yes I beleive it is a problem for the 01-02 models not the 98-00s.
You could always buy a set of ported ends , for $99, this way if you need to go back to the stock ends for some reason you can. I got my ends from my buddy who had them left over from his former LT1 (same part, at least the ends are).
