I want to know if you do it and if you do, how are you doing it?!
I want to know if its dangerous for the electronics or what..

I did it for the first time last week. went from a 9.49@75mph to a 9.34@75.8mph (1/8th mile track). Good for about .15

yeah... my LT1 got .3 from it.. 1/4 mile...

but I need to know if its worth doing to plastic intakes..

about the only thing i caould think of is, it cant hurt. given you know to keep the electronics dry. toss a bag of ice on there and let it melt!!!

sure it cant hurt.. but at $1.50 a bag.. is it worth it? I could get a Gatorade and energize myself while pushing

not really worth much on most ls1 cars with the intake that doesnt get really hot anyways..

but it cantt hurt.. go for it

I do it on cars with an aluminum intake like the LT1 or L98, but not on the LS1. The intake isn't even warm after a run.

Well, maybe it's just the tracks I go to around here, but only desperate Mustangs ice down their intakes (and actually bring generators for giant fans too). I wouldn't be caught dead doing it myself, however I don't think on an LS1 it does much of anything because of the efficient heat dispersion already.
