Please Help Me My Car Isn't fast enough!!!
I want to put an LS2 crate motor in my 1995 Z28. I need help finding the K-member and any other mounting conversions I will need to have this monster installed. I know it will cost apretty penny but I'm gonna take my time and have it done right. Can any one help me with what I need or with a shop in the Chicago area that I can have it done at?

I'm sure Speed-Inc in Schaumburg can do that for you, but it will cost a pretty penny. As mentioned above, a heads/cam swap on your current LT1 would be the cheaper option, but an LS2 would definitely be cooler in my opinion.

But the problem is that my LT1 has 190K miles on it and it really isn't built to handle 400+ hp continuously as a daily driver so I've been advised by people who have blown up enough engines that the most reliable way to go is an LT1 or better. Money doesn't really matter because like I said I'm taking my time.
I have already put high flow heads on it allready and it is great but like any real horseower freak its not quite enough for me. 95z28 340hp ALL OF IT GETS TO THA GROUND!!!!!!!!!!!

Think about all the stuff you'd have to change... headers, intake, wiring, etc. It's going to be a garage queen for a long time, and I've seen a lot of guys do a lot of hair pulling over garage queens. Nickel and dime you to death, some even losing enthusiasm for the project and end up selling it cheap. 383 swap = running in days.

I don't see why a well-built LTx-based 383 can't do 450rwhp if top quality parts are used. It will all come down to the budget on the heads...

Oh, and if you were talking LSx-based 383s, there are some well above 500rwhp, but most (like mine) are in the 460-490rwhp range. I didn't use anything exotic in my build and am very happy with it...
