Im looking a new ride, and I found a 2000 ls1 with the following mods:

Mods are moser 12 bolt,33 spilne,3.73,magnaflow exhaust,electric cut out,adjustable qa1 rear shocks,spohn torque arm,tube lower arms,bmr subframes,dennys 1350 ujoint driveshaft,dyna tech coated headers,crane cam 216/224 .551/.551, gold 1.8 rocker kit,85mm polish TB, aluminum underdrive pully,slp lid,smooth belows,ls6 intake, race tronix fuel pump kit,new nos plate kit,new nos mini controler,ss hood,alpine radio,gauge pod with fuel pressure,trans temp,new stage 3 trans all heavy duty parts,midwest 3400 verter.runs mid to low 12's on motor and has been 10.70's on spray.consistant 11.00's 10.90's.

Does this seem legit? I would think it would have more rwhp on motor...granted it is an auto w/ a twelve bolt. Also it has stock rims.

And I would think it would be quicker in the 1/4 on all motor as well; again what do you think?

So what do you guys think?

Thanks,

Pride

Seems legit to me.

THat's a fairly small cam and converter + the added weight/losses of the 12bolt.

Put in a Yank SS4000 and a bigger cam and you'll be in the 11s all motor.

Kind of a weird mix of mods unless the guy wanted to keep it real tame.

I would dump the 1.8r rockers, put in a TRak or Torquer.v3, and a Yank SS4000. PT series would be more fun, but you'll probably blow through the converter on spray.

Nos plate kit? Aren't those for carbs?

low 12's seems a little quick for those mods to me since I don't see ported heads anywhere on the list, and that cam is pretty small for a fast cam only car. If it was set up as a race car then It could happen, though. but I think mid 12's is proabably more reasonable.

Also, I would stay way from a car that is getting hit that with that much nitrous unless you are getting it cheap enough where a new motor wouldn't be a big deal.

Seems legit for either a decent size shot at full weight or a 125/150 shot with some weight reduction. You say the power seems low but I don't see any power numbers. It also looks like a build intended for nitrous, so the performance N/A may be disappointing. Personally I would stay away from any car that sees regular nitrous use - that stuff is hard on an engine even when used properly.

The car has been raced. It has some good parts and I like nitrous car's too.It would depend on how much the car is selling for.Mileage wouldn't be an indicator of how engine wear is.If it wasn't for the nitrous I wouldn't be as skeptical.Of course if the nitrous was used correctly maybe you won't have a problem. All Modded performance car's for sale have risk in not knowing how the car was driven. This car was certainly not babied with a 10.90 ET.

I don't agree. I ran consistant 12.2s-12.3s with a stone stock motor. He's got headers, intake mods, and a cam. He should be in the 11s on motor if it wasn't set up for nitrous.

Yea, I guess it depends on what you call low to mid 12's. Someone says low 12's I am thinking 12.0-12.2. Either way, that car has been run hard.

Time on motor dose not sound that great. Should be in the 11s.
