Passenger side directional; burnt???!!!

Hey guys:
Big problem I hope you can help out with.

Last week I noticied my directionals did not work on the passenger side. The front and back did not work and when you turn them on you just get the solid green "arrow" light up on the instrument panel (it does not flash or chime). I figured the problem was a bad bulb so I bought one for the front and one for the rear. The rear did not look bad but since I bought a new bulb anyway and had already ripped apart the trunk, I replaced it. I got to the front directional by the small panel under the bumper. I pulled out the socket and saw that the plastic piece had been burnt a bit and was black or chared. I pulled the old bulb and replaced it. I also checked my fuses but appearently everything looked okay. I tried the directionals again but nothing. Any idea on what is going on? I got two seperate part numbers for the front and the back but both used the same size bulb. I thought that was funny. I want to try to fix this by tommorow. I don't want to get a ticket. I would thank all comments or past experience. I am doing an internship so don't have all my tools. I was going to use a test light to see if any juice is flowing but I don't have one with me. I stopped at Pep Boys but they said they don't do electrical work. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I have the same problem on my car.

I've noticed that the amber light on the passenger side front that runs as the DRL and doubles as the turn signal doesn't work during the day, so I thought that bulb being burned out was the problem.

I noticed the other day that it turns on when you flip the headlights on, though. Turn signal still doesn't work, though.

The only other thing I noticed was that the bulb behind the amber cover on the lower part of the front passenger side wasn't on. Could that dead bulb on the side be what's screwing with the turn signal, or has a fuse burned out somewhere?

The different numbers are because the front is a high temperature bulb, ordinary indicator bulbs will not last operating as DRL's link link The socket may have been damaged. Do the DRLs and sidelights work OK?

Yes the DRL and side marker lights do work. It is just the passenger side turn signal (closest to the grill) and rear turn signal do not work. The bulb that was in there was the small "slot in" type with a thin base. The gray plastic base was burned a bit. I've never changed it before so it must have come from the factory like this. Think I have to change the base? How do I do that?
