pass emissions with 500rwhp?

i just got the last of my bolt on's in today, now that i set a date to have them installed im told they will make 500rwhp or up and will not pass emissions because of the horsepower alone. does anyone out there have over 500rwhp ( i know some of you do) do you have problems passing emissions?

You can't get any where near 500 rwhp with boltons. At stock cubes it would be almost impossible to get 500 rwhp NA. You'd need a power adder.

bolt-ons

what i have now is tsp lid, 85mm maf, ssra. what i bought to be installed are: heads and cam package, full length exhaust w/cats. (flowmaster/hooker ceramic headers) msd ignition booster, 8.5 mm wires, bfg dr's, 12 bolt rear, 75-100 shot nos, and a single turbo kit including high pressure fuel pump and 36#injectors, wastegate/hks blow-off valve. i plan on having it set to 7lbs of boost. i dont know for a fact that it will make 500rwhp but thats what im told. "damit jim, im a petroleum electronics tech, not a mechanic" i hope for the money i shelled out it will make something like 500rwhp or i wasted my money, but i dont know til its done. ls1motorsports (where i got the turbo kit) lists a stock ls1 on 9lbs of boost putting down 530rwhp, 7lb doing 497rwhp stock. www.ls1motorsports.com go to ls1 parts/induction, click on the turbo promo. anyway.......my problem is im second guessing my mechanic putting it all on or not with the emissions question.

Heads, cam, turbo, and N20 aren't considered bolt-ons. You won't pass most likely.

your car can blow out pure O2 and make the world cleaner, but if it doesn't pass visual and OBDII testing, it can fails..

in other words, it depends on what kind of tests your area does and how **** the testers are..

no you will fail since using a turbo manifold you would have to delete the egr and i daubt you want to tune down the a/f so it would pass. But if you get a really good tune on ls1edit and they remove certain things you can pass everything but visual so hopefully they don't check.

in pa, if you keep your cars milage under 5k miles a year, you do not need to be emmissions tested, you are exempt. hopefully you can use that info to remedy the situation...

my friend got nailed with fake stickers. he just gets it inspected regularly, and gets emissions exempt. same thing i did with my old car.
