Pacesetter O2 System
My Pacesetter LTs and catted y-pipe are going in on Tuesday.
It looks like Pacesetter includes a type of splicing kit with their headers in case you need to extend the O2 lines. When I was changing my oil today, I noticed that it looks like the existing O2 wires are long enough to make it to where they're going to be plugged in on the headers. Is this true?

Re: Pacesetter O2 System
If you have the stock o2 wire harness' on your car you will need to extend them because on the LT's the o2 sensors move quite a bit further down stream. You either need to extend your wires with the kit supplied with your headers or buy premade ones ,which is probably the better choice. Some people claim when you extend the harness' by splicing in wires , you create more resistance in the harness, which will give faulty readings to the computer and they are probably correct.Just my two cents.
Re: Pacesetter O2 System
Don't waste your time with splicing the o2 wires with that kit they give you. I used one like that and completely waterproofed it. Long story short, it still got wet and I had to buy the extensions anyway, don't waste your time. Just buy the extensions in the firts place. BTW, I recommend WS6store.com they have about the best prices, last time I checked.
Re: Pacesetter O2 System
For the last six months Ive been rebuilding my top end. I pretty much had the entire motor apart and I need a little help locating the o2 wire harness. I need to do the extensions on the o2 sensors for the Pacesetter LT's. I can't remember on my old SLP shorties if there was one sensor on each header or just one o2 sensor on the drivers side header? Can someone help me out with this? I see on the Pacesetters there is a spot for an o2 sensor on each header. Thanks. -Matt
Re: Pacesetter O2 System
2 front O2s 2 rear O2s
driver side front plugin is hooked to the block near the motor mount
passenger side front plugin is hooked to the frame near the starter.
I assume that you won't be using the rears?
