It will be the 18th before my car goes in to have this done, any install advice for the y I purchased?
Yeah, I still have the car. The install was done by a GM Master Tech. and it took almost all day. My friend has a TSP ORY on his car before I bought mine and his bangs too. Mine banged under load. From a dead stop, unless you launched the car like an old lady, it would bang, scrape and grind like crazy. You'll feel a difference, definitely, I just wish I could muster better than the time in my sig. with my setup, with a 2.0-2.1 consistently. Must be the auto.

I want to beat my friends 07 Mustang GT, he's done nothing but exterior mods and he is waiting on a side exit exaust from Cervini. His is a manual car too and he talks big trash on my car-I want my 10 yr old Camaro to get him before he does a single turbo. He is also my boss and has a lot more $$$ for mods than I do. Other than NOS, what would be the best next bolt on for a budget? Intake? Pulley's? SLP MAF? Drag radials? I told him I could take him now but he doesn't think I could beat him.

install complete!

I am new to posting so sorry this isn't in the exaust section were it belongs. My 98 has the coated Pacesetters and the TSP catted Y pipe hooked up to a SLP lm1 catback. It isn't any louder at idle than it used to be but it is LOUD at WOT. The y is hitting the floor like you said it would but not real bad...might rap something around it or have it adjusted to see if I can get rid of the bang. It definitely gave a SOP difference and I am looking forward to seeing what kind of et I can get when I can go to the track..Tires are helpless if I try to leave at a 2000 but bogs under 1500...guess I need to practice or get some DR's and hope I don't break a rear end.

I would only run the LMII with headers...that is one of the reasons SLP came out with it in the first place.

The y-pipe is probably hitting the floorboard because your motor mounts are worn and or broken , which is allowing the engine to tourqe towards the passenger side causing the exhaust to hit the bottom of the car . A set of prothane motor mounts will solve that problem as they keep the engine rock solid .
