you'll be very pleased with the sound of your Magnaflow,,but like the other guy said,,,send it back and get the 3inch inlet,,,,,i have the entire cat-back system,,,3inch inlet,,,3.5inch outlets..sounds sweeeeeeeeeet i plan on getting a catco 3inch hi flow cat and the borla 3inch y-pipe,,,no headers,,,i think i'll be very happy with the sound after those mods.
