ok so i put the headers and cat on but ypipe doesnt fit
so i left it open header

i look at my drivers side cat and its glowing red like a neon tube
and it smells like gas

help me

 

Cats get really hot, they are there to burn unburnt gas that leaves the engine. I doubt there is a problem with them.

Dude, you're running open headers, its going to smell funny.

 

its going to smell funny because the cats are brand new, it'll take a week or so to break them in fully, the gas smell is probly due to the fact that your car is probably running rich. Let the cats break in, then if you still smell gas, it might be time to get a MAFT.

 

ok i found out why it smells like gas

my nx solenoid is leaking gas like crazy
i dont know why.... any ideas

 

No idea,but NX has a lifetime warranty.Just send it back!
