I am looking to get sfc's for my '02 SS. I want to address the infamous mild chassis flex and hopefully to prevent stress dimples in the rear quarters that so many of us have experienced.

I am looking to get the welded, tubular type. What brands would you recommend?

I've narrowed it down to BMR, Spohn, or Hotchkis boxed (because I've heard that they conceal under the car very well). Any input would be welcomed.

I'll reccomend the BMR boxed type. They are very nice SFC's and made a huge difference in my car. The ground clearence issue really isnt an issue at all. There are other things under the car that hang lower than the SFC's.

All SFCs do exactly the same thing, tie the front and rear subframes together. They have no moving parts so rocket science isn't involved. If there is any advantage between brands or styles no one has yet to prove it. My suggestion is to find a reputable company that sells a cheap weld on tubular SFC and buy it. The tubulars only advantage is that they tuck up high and out of sight. This will be to your advantage if you ever decide to lower your car. The money you save can go towards other mods.

i love my boxed BMR's

i wasn't worried about the lose of clearance siince i have the factory GFX anyway. the sfc are as low as the GFX, so there really wasn't much lose.

i have tons of install pics on my webpage, third page i think, look in the sig.

Some really nice pics!!! Ok food for thought. The main criteria for me though is rigidity without visibility. Tough choice!
