Oil Pressure Guage Reading

Just a general question. What is the propper reading for a LS1 Oil idjit guage to read?? Mines at 60 psi cold, jumps up to max as I give it gas. When it warms up it reads around 60ish. I seam to think it was around 40ish before?? I changed my oil and filter and it still reads high. If its the sending unit ok but Id still like to know what everyone else guage is reading. Thanks

that's what my 94 v6 USED to be at, until recently. 139xxx miles on it, just had an oil change 2 months ago, was running fine until this past week when i noticed that it now idles at 60-65 and shoots up to 75-80(max) whenever i hit the gas. Then yesterday I got it on the highway and it went back down to about 50-60, but sure enough later that night at home it was back high again. any ideas? i dont own a mechanical gauge and I havent replaced the sending unit ever. filter was replaced last year.
