Exclamation oil pressure

I just traded my 2000 m6 Z28 for A 2002 m6
Z28.I have just 250 miles but noticed
my oil pressure is 60 Lbs with oil warm.
I do not remember the 2000 running that
kind of pressure. Are these gauges accurate
at all? Also I realize my new Z is not broken
in yet but It does not yet feel faster than
my 2000.

My oil pressure is around 55 at idle with warm engine. If I am getting on it, it goes up to 70. I was worried about it at first also, thinking I overfilled with oil. But the dipstick reads perfect, oil line is right in the middle of the operating range.

Can't always trust the stock gauges..although they provide a decent "in the ball park" reading. The pressures you're reporting are well within the averages many are seeing

Thumbs up

Congrats on the new ride !!

I'd go for a change @ 500 miles to clean the particles out, followed by another @ 3K.

After that, depends upon you & the oil you choose to use.

I am a firm believer in 3K changes w/ dino - I'll go 4 or 5K , or to whenever the ol' oil change light pops up , whichever is first , with Synthetics.

Have fun !!
