Oil Filter Question

Im getting ready to put Mobil 1 synthetic in my car at 9k miles. Is there a particular filter I need with synthetic or one that performs better with synthetic? Or does it really matter? Thanks.

Just don't get a fram and you'll be okay.

Frams have less surface area to their filter, the ends of the filter (internal) are card board. Basically, they cut too many corners in the design.

W/out paying for M1, KN etc, AC filters do very well. I've also heard good things about the supertech filters at Wal-Mart. I'm trying to find more info about them.

hmm.. I started putting synthetic in right away, after only a few thou. I also heard somewhere the cars come stock with synthetic, don't know if it's true, who knows. But as for a filter, just stick with the stock AC Delco, I say. Same with the spark plugs.

fram sucks. if u accidently tighten the filter too much......good luck getting it back off. that damn "sure grip" makes it almost impossible to use a oil filter wrench on. plus........ John Force is a spokesperson for them and i HATE john force.
