OHV PFI vs LS!

I was looking at cars and saw one with a PFI OHV V-8 engine and i was wondering how close this is to the LS1 V-8 in all aspects

Re: OHV PFI vs LS!

Are you sure that wasn't SPFI (sequential-port fuel injection) that you saw?? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the LS1 is classified as a "sequential-port" (SPFI) engine. OHV is over-head valve, which the LS1 is also.

While the LS1 does have a throttle-body, it's never been referred to as a TBI (throttle-body injection) motor, nor a TPI (tuned-port injection). Those were engines of the past.

OHC or DOHC is over-head cam (or dual), but again, NOT an LS1 arrangement.
