I have one on my 02 SS, but it came from the factory. If your just trying to clean up the engine compartment, there nice, but for performance, they don't offer much over stock. It's just a stock lid with no air silencer and an SLP stamp FYI.

I just want to get rid of the silencer, is there a GM part number on yours or do you have to get them from SLP?

I went and looked at the lid, there is no part number on it. It is actually a blackwing lid, with SLP s name stamped on it. If your going to go through the trouble of calling SLP, I would just get the aftermarket lid instead of the OEM. You would get the same look and pick up a few ponies in the process. To each there own I guess.

I'm sure you can find that lid on one of this site's sponsers websites. I bought an SLP lid a few weeks ago and noticed a pretty good difference.
