Question Odd question...how often do BOTH fans kick on during normal driving?

I want to know how often the PCM kicks both fans on in a normal driving situation. I know that weather and driving method comes into play, but lets take an average sitatuation. I ner really paid attention or never noticed.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I dont remember off hand, but its above 200 degrees.. 210? or 212? or something.

1 fan comes on at x temp, then the second fan comes on when y temp is reached.

Or if the AC is turned on.

Right...I know but how often does it hit that y temperature to turn on both fans under normal driving conditions?

Or if the AC is turned on.
Yeah, I knew that one but forgot to mention it. Thx.

I have LEDs wired to low/high speed fans and have the temps set for a 160 deg tstat. On a 70 deg day in town low speed illuminates and high speed cycles on and off, and stays off at highway speeds. Been a while since I've used the A/C but I remember the fans cycling on temp even with it on.

I have a '98 with the real temp gauge, and it only gets above 200 at stop lights or when in reverse backing on hot days. If you are moving, you are below 200 in a well operating f body, no matter what the temp in my experience.
