'Notchy/Sporadic' Throttle Response
'Notchy/Sporadic' Throttle Response
Alright, please excuse this description of my problem, if I'm a big long-winded and do a poor job.
I have a 2002 M6 SS.
It is most noticible when I am going a steady speed, sticking in first or second gear. I can have the pedal in a steady position, in first or second, and the car seems as if it is lurching forward, at a steady pace.
Almost as if I was tapping my pedal to the beat of a song, or if every 'revolution' of a tire it lurched forward, then went back to normal.
It's also less noticible in other gears, maintaining a steady pace, when the RPM's are above 2k. Anything less, I havent noticed it. The lower gears, it's a large lurch... the higher gears, it's barely noticible.
What would be causing this?
