Hows the intake gaskets on a ls1, are they the oring style that you can remove the intake and reuse the or do i have to buy gaskets???

 

Guess you can call them o ring style - but wouldn't think about trying to reuse them, last thing you want is a leak after R&R the intake.

 

I'd get new ones.

 

Its fine to reuse them. They were designed to be reusable. They're called captured gaskets and yes they're like O-rings.

If you want to buy new, get them from a shop. You should be able to get comp gaskets for under $50. If you go to the stealership they'll want $150.

 

What he said. You can take the intake off and on many times with no ill effects. Heck I even swapped them over onto my LSx from the stock intake. It's a dry manifold all they seal is air.
