Newbie here looking for help!
If anyone could please read my signature and then answer my question it would help me out greatly. I am trying to figure out what I should do next to my car taking into account the mods already done which are shown in my signature. I was thinking about getting headers and upgraded rotors and pads done next, but Im reading everyone getting headers and cams. Not really sure what cam's do so Im hoping for some info here. Can you guys help out? Here are a few questions I have:
1) What headers should I get for my SS?
2) What should I do to my car next to get more hp? Do I need a new cam? whatever that is. And what kind of cam if you think I should do this.
Any info would be greatly appreciated and I thank all of you in advance. PEACE! KIR

Re: Newbie here looking for help!
Ive been reading more. Are KOOKS Stainless Steel Headers considered too pricey? I have a Borla exhaust and wonder if that would work well with it. Im not installing these myself and already heard it is around $600-750 for installation, so I want to make sure that Im putting in what I need so I dont have to change later down the road. I want as much power as possible from these and also great durability. PEACE! KIR
Re: Newbie here looking for help!
While those are great headers, I would rebuy my Pace Setters over and over. Nice header for 375. And ask around, but putting headers on our cars is easy if you can get the car up off the ground enough. I hope that install price included the headers! I read about people putting cams in the car for that amount. Add a new ypipe to the list as well.
Re: Newbie here looking for help!
here is my long tube header install guide. i did it by myself, first time, in the driveway in 10hrs from start to start-up. not hard at all...just intimidating and kindda time consuming.
the best bang for the buck will be the Flowtech or Pacesetter headers. both come coated for about $400 give or take (watch for sales in the "group purchase" forum).
a step up from those would be hooker or jet-hot long tubes.
and if you don't know what a cam is....i don't suggest even thinking about it as a mod. do some research, read the first 5 pages of this forum and you'll learn ALOT!
