I'm hoping to drive my baby all winter, too. I picked up a set of 16" wheels off a V6 Firebird and I'm going to put a good set of snow tires on them. I can't wait to see what kind of dry traction I get with 215/60R16 on my car.

I figure with good snow tires, ABS, ASC, and the ability to use the M6 to pull out in second if need be, I should be able to get around if I *really* need to.

Winter in Oregon isn't bad at all.. but it constantly rains and once in a blue moon snows.. Luckly, I have both a set of 17's and a set of 16's.. I'll probably be getting a set of BFG KDWS on my 16's to use soon, since the tires on my 17's a pain in the wet..

I hate how the traction controll always makes my pedal jerks backwards when i floor it. Does it close the throttle body and brake? If not why would my pedal get jerked back?

It closed the throttle and (on V8s) pumps the rear brakes. The pedal jerk is a feedback method to the driver, in case you miss the light. I drive my car every winter, no choice. Throw on a set of Blizzak snow tires, or equivelent, and drive carefully.

While I may have to drive my car this winter, I would certainly never hope to?!

BTW: Aneurysm - if I could park the car for the winter, I would, but I work a 1/2 hour from home, and I work shifts, so there's no way that public transportation is feasible, nor is car-pooling, so having a car is a MUST. And unless I can drive that Sprint my dad picked up, the Zedder is going to be on the slushy roads.
