this was the last day of the year to hit the tack in my area so here are the times.. the last run I shifted second to fifth!

all in all it was a fun day, even though all four of my friends I raced with went out the first round guess that's all until next season!

 

Not bad, I'd say not bad at all.

One question though. How the hell did you shift from second to fifth? Your time still rocks considering you went from first, to second, to fifth...

But again, how the hell did you do that?

 

I don't know how I did it... I have done it twice now at the track though, I guess I just get too nervous and start throwing it too far... as soon as I put it in fifth, and feel the bog, I kick it back in third, but by that time, it's too late

 

I have not got to take my car to the track yet.. but when I first got it I took it out to a nice flat road where no cars were and opened it up a few times. Couple of the times I shifted 2nd to 5th. I was just trying to shift as fast as I possibly could and was screwing up.

 

Just a suggestion. get a short shifter My car came with one when I first learned how to drive the Z, had it not been for that I probably would have made the same error at least once during my driving..

put that sucker on some e.t. streets and dump that clutch.with 107mph traps you could hit high 12's no problem with about a 1.8x sixty foot..gotta love these ls1's..later!
