I have an '02 Z28 and am trying to wire up a cutout switch in the cockpit. I would like to use the "unused" option slot next to the fog lamp switch in the A/C bezel (right beside the "35th Anniversary Camaro" plaque). When I took the bezel off, I noticed there were 5 or 6 wires going into that "unused" slot, with no button or switch on it. There is 1 large pink wire, a couple of gray wires, and some black and black/white wires pressed into the space filler. Anybody know what in the world this is? Are any of these wires powers or grounds that I can use for my cutout switch??

 

I've got that spot too. I believe it's where the rear defroster button exists for those of us fortunate enough to have a rear defroster. Sorry though, have no idea about wiring the cutout, although I too am interested in doing it.
