i was out looking at firebirds/maros
and i came a cross a trans am 9,800
i can talk him down to 8,400

its bright red
leather interior
crome rims
t-top
loaded

but the mile is 108 Thousand
do u think i should pass on this and get a lower milage
v6 or get the high milage v8, i dont no what to do?

 

have it checked out by someone who knows and common sence will also tell you alot of the rest. get an LS1 if you can manage

 

If a V8 is what you really want, I'd suggest getting one. LS1 w/proper maintenance will run well over 200K miles, just like the LT1's.

Have a it checked out pretty thoroughly and go from there.

what do most v6 and v8 get for gas milage

 

i just purchased a 98 Z auto, leather, ttops, borla exhaust, 62k on the clock from a private seller for 10 grand...i had looked at a 98 ta they were asking 10400 on but with 91k on the clock i didnt feel like having it go over 100k before i had it a year so i passed...im sure i coulve had that for near 8500 bottom line is if you look around enough you can get a really good deal on a low mileage ride...just gotta look and not settle for the first one...these cars are all over the place now...i stopped to look at about 20 98-99 cars within a 10 mile radius of my house.

My 99 Firebird got about 24-25mpg and the current LS1 gets about 23-24mpg on my daily commute.

V6 uses regular and V8 premium, though.
