If you have the money the McLeod Street Twin is the only way to go. I am going to start saving for one as we speak.

Personally, I'd recommend SPEC from all I've read. McLeod is a good brand to go with too, but might be slightly more $$$. If you wanna stick with GM, SLP will mark up the cost on the Z06 clutch. You can get a new flywheel, pressure plate, clutch and throw-out bearing from www.gmpartsdirect.com for just over $300. The part #'s you'll need are...

As far as I know, the clutch for the LS6 Corvette should work for the LS1 Camaro. That's what those part #'s are for. I'd feel more comfortable if I could get someone to back me on this though. I'd hate to give you the wrong info and all...

The first question you need to ask yourself is what are you planning on doing with the car? Is it just a daily driver, weekend warrior, or all out racer? All of the clutches listed are good clutches, in my opinion, but good for different reasons/applications.

If you plan on just a moderate amount of bolt ons, I say go with the z06 clutch. It'll outlast a spec clutch, but it won't hold as much power. And yes, if you get those parts it will work. If your car is pre 01-02 (ok, read that it is) then you will want to get some updated hydraulics also, the cheapest I've seen that is for another $200.

I'd go with the spec stage II or III depending on how much power you plan for and how much you want to abuse your car. If you plan on anything over 450 (flywheel) or forced induction/nitrous, this is your clutch to buy. Once I have enough power (long time from now) I'll be ditching my z06 for a spec clutch.
