Need material to link Lid to MAF

Has anyone had to come up with a custom length of "hose" that links the air lid to the MAF???

I bought the GM 85mm MAF. I also bought a new styled lid that uses the C4 corvette K&N filter. Unfortunately, when doing both of these mods, I come up with a sharp angle and need more then just a "rubber hose" which is what comes with it.

I like the SLP fiberglass re-enforced stuff they use. But, if it isn't a SLP product those guys treat you like scum. Since they don't offer this larger and oversized filter size, I had no choice. I cannot mate the two materials like they say to do. It just will not work. The soft rubber material that comes with the new lid causes it to collapse under hard acceleration causing AIR STARVATION!!!
CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH A COMPANY NAME OR NUMBER to try and get a custom length of the "fiberglass reinforced style" material?
THANKS MUCH IN ADVANCE!

Did you come up with one that worked better then the other?

I am thinking of going with the smaller diameter and trying to cut it at an angle. Of course do so would increase the diameter, which is OK to some extent. I just wondered if you could shed any light on the subject.

If I get there first, I will post a response.

Thanks so much for your reply. I have been looking everywhere. SLP is so responsive when it is there products you are buying, but mention someone else's product and it's like you have AIDS!

Pretty unprofessional in my opinion. That is why I have decided to look at other alternatives. I swear everyone over there must be on commission.

Thanks again!
