I have a 2002 5.3L Vortech that I am towing my trailer with and its underpowered. What are the things I can do to make more power with what I have? I am also interested in anything like exhaust info or chip info... Pretty much anything short of selling it and buying a new truck...

supercharge it, especialyl wth positive displacement types, like roots and screws..

up your rear gear..

don't forget to take care of your tranny too... at least a cooler and temp gauge for it.

just curious, what kinda stuff are you pulling? I was looking at getting a 5.3L truck too for daily driving and occasionally pulling a open trailer with my Camaro on it.

 

What gears do you have? I have an 03 GMC 5.3, A4, 4X4, with 3.73s and it hauls my car and open trailer like it's not even back there.
