Talking Need help with purchasing gears!!!

I have decided to go with 410's. I don't have the slightest clue about buying them. Do I need an installation kit? Who also makes the best gears. I heard richmond whines. There is a complete gear kit at thunder that includes the strange gears. Are those good? It also has something about a different series carrier. What does that mean? I am clueless!!!!!

Strange makes great gears IMO. I'd get them. As for the gear package, I'd just get the gears themselves, and if u want the TA cover, get it seperately. Most shops that install the gears will provide fluid and all anyways, and everything else needed for the install.

Oh, and about the carrier, having an M6 your car came stock with 3.42's, so you have the 3 series carrier. The 2 series is for cars that came stock with 2.73's.

3.23 and up are series 3. Series 2 the gears need to be thicker. I prefer going with Genuine GM gears, other brands I've heard have problems such as teeth breaking or premature wear. People are always selling gears on ebay pretty cheap. And it always good
to buy a master install kit.

if u want them quiet go with slp...

and since u have an m6 i would recomend 3.73 or if u want to go a lil too the extreme get 4.10s but gas mileage will suck with the 4.10s

just my 2 cents
