I have a 99 SS that I am removing the interior from so I can dynanamat everything (to cut down on road noise and rattles, I HATE systems) and I also want to clean everything really well. I ran into a problem on the rear quarters, the coat hook things wont come off. I stuck a screwdriver in the slot to get it to pull out, but I cant figure out what to do next. I need it off so I can get that panel off. Thanks guys!

 

They are a real bear to get out. The square looking thing is a push lock pin. You need to pry, twist, curse, pull it completely out then the hanger hook will come off.
