I was in the same situation as you a couple months ago, when I was trying to figure out what cam to go with. I finally went with a 230 Dominator Cam from rapid motor sports, located in reading pa. I visited mike there, whose installed hundreds of cams and heads on LS1's, well he strongly recommends the 230 dominator cam for excellent gains and total streetability. While, I was there he had a recently installed 230 in a 02' WS6, which sounds great, not real lopey. But, it all really depends on what you want in gains and streetability, however I found this to be a prefect match for me. Getting it installed in a couple weeks.

Re: Need a Cam Shopper

what kind of hp goal do you have?

"streetable" is a very subjective term.

any cam worth installing is going to need new springs. but they don't neccessarily need Ti retainers and all that jazz.

i say get some CC918 springs, TR 224 cam and a dyno tune

should easily be 375hp at the wheels on stock heads
