Need Advice PLEASE!!

Alright guys, your probably going to think that im an idiot, but I'm just gettin into the LS1s. Right now I have the Ram Air mod on my '99 z28, along with Borla catback exhaust. Thats all I have got to so far. I'm not looking to spend loads of money, but I am willing to drop quite a bit on it. I'm planning on getting an SLP air box soon, along with Pacesetter LTs. After that, I dont know what to do. Should i start lookin for cams? New gears? What? Not looking to make it into a full race car or anything... Any advice at all would be great! thx

Auto or manual? After headers i would go with some gears then maybe a cluch upgrade, then toss a cam in.. That way you have alittle added insurance on the drivetrain..

Re: Need Advice PLEASE!!

I have a 99 t/a with just a corsa catback and a lid. my plan goes

upgrade brakes to c5 brakes (72k miles, I know these brakes have been on there almost 40k)
Full torque convter+shiftkit+trans cooler set up
headers
<<possible tune>>
gears+rear end+misc suspension
heads/cam

now... I may never even get there, but thats the plan

Re: Need Advice PLEASE!!

you say your new to these cars... then one thing you should notice is the lack of traction you get when launching your car. I say get the airbox, the super sucker ram air, and then hit up a tire place and get and order for 2 nitto 555r drag radials. maybe before you start buying these performance mods, you should also learn how to drive better

Full bolt-ons and exhaust, then a Yank 3600 with some 3.73s. After that, internal mods like a cam, heads, etc.
