I need advice decided whether or not i should do the FRA mod. It's like one of the only mods i havent done yet because i hear so many different things about it, so i just never did it. Let me know what you guys think!

 

Might as well, if you ever want to get a CAI or ram-air package you'll need to do it anyway. I've heard it helps somewhat.

 

I have an SS, i'm not getting ram air package (i already have it) or cai. Is that little bit of hp worth my air filter getting extremely dirty very quickly??

 

define quicky. i live in pa and barely have to keep up with the filter. maybe in vegas or southwest might be more often.

 

i have the SSRA kit and i rinse out my air filter (K&N) about every time i change the oil.

i mean it takes 2mins to wash out with the hose.

even if you consider that "often" ...it's not like it's hard or time consuming.

granted that is a reason i like my K&N...even though some say they are poiintless...i can wash it alot easier than buying a new paper filter

 

My filter doesn't get dirty more often with the FRA. It goes as long between cleanings as before. Its my daily driver too.
