N20 on stock ls1

I'm thinking about a 125-150 shot on a my 50k ls1 do you think this is safe or should I go smaller?

Should be fine, I have a friend running a 100shot on his 02 Z28 bone stock to the factory manifolds.

If you want a car that acts completely bone stock, and then acts like a cam only car a 100-125 shot should do the trick!

The only problem is you WILL get addicted to the power and want it all the time (or you'll go broke refilling your bottle twice a week ).

It's plenty safe as long as it's a wet shot.

A dry shot of 150 will take bigger injectors than the 26# stock ones of the 99-00s.

Could be anywhere from 390 to 460ish depends on the kit. Some kits are sized for crank hp numbers, some are rear wheel numbers, some motors respond better than others.

Ask that and other nitrous specific questions in the nitrous forum for better answers.

Hey Mike, how would I figure out how much I can spray with a dry kit on my setup? I'm running the numbers in my sig NA with 36#ers and I have a NOS dry kit I want to play with.

Since you're not adding fuel with a dry kit, basically just figure out how much horsepower you're adding without fuel vs. how much injector you currently have and how much injector you'll need with the horsepower increase. A stock 26# injector can handle around 410-420rwhp, a stock 28# can handle around 440rwhp, and If you're using 36# GM injectors, I wouldn't hit it with much of a dry shot since you're probably running a pretty good DC on the injector as it is.

If you're using 36# Ford injectors, which act like around 42# under LS1 fuel pressure, you can probably get away with a 150 shot or so... however, after knowing what's done to your car and the times you run, your motor probably has too much timing and too hot of a plug for much nitrous anyway

Yeah a timing tuner and colder plugs are part of the safety plan along with a window switch and low fuel pressure shut off.

Al , just in case you didn't already know , the timing tuner made by full throttle has a built in window switch and a nitrous delay feature all in one small compact box that is plug and play . I am using it on my car and still learning all the different settings and neat little things you can do with it . So far I am pretty happy with it .

I don't know about the Full Throttle piece, but the Harris SpeedWorks nitrous tuner/interface is about the best you'll get. I as well as many of my friends run it. I have a heads/cam setup similar to yours, if not a little more aggressive and run a 100 dry shot with it without problems.

Look in the supporting vendors index and click on the Full Throttle ad . Then look in the section for LS1 performance stuff and you should see the timing tuner. They give a real good description of it's features along with a picture of it . Price is $249.95 . I'm sorry for not posting a link to the actual item but I am computer illiterate and don't know how to do it .

This is a nice unit as well. I have friends who use it and plan on running it myself hopefully later this summer!
