Is my WS6 SLOW, OK, Quick, ?

I am trying to figure out if my times are ok and not slow for a LS1 fbody.

I have a Metallic Gold 1998 WS6 A4 (3.23's), no cats, cut out, sub frames, hpp3. I just hit 30k miles on it.

I ran a best of 8.643 @ 83.02 mph .500 light 2.088 60 foot (street tires). But I run low 8.7's all day.

Is this normal or slow for a LS1? I am just trying to figure it out. I had a 2000 GT Vert 5speed before this. It used to run a 9.4 with CAI, no cats, TB,.. it sucked. I just ordered my Direct Flow lid today. Any other good cheap mods?

Thanks,
Shawn

Can you convert this to 1/4 mile please I am no good with 1/8th.

Your 60' is nice for street tires though! Have you ever had the car dyno'd ?

I really never have gone to the 1/4 mile track yet. I figure I will wait till I get long tubes, gears before I go.

Well, my car only ran 9.1 @ ~80mph in the 1/8, so you've got me beat, and that translated into a 14.008 @ 103mph in the 1/4 (I know, $h!tty for an LS1). You're probably running a low 13 in the 1/4 mile.

An 8.6 in the 1/8th should be around a 13.2-13.4 in the 1/4. That's not too shabby, especially for only having a few minor mods. With a lid and a 1.9x 60', you could be in the high 12s.

That's wicked, I am glad to hear that. I love this car so much.

Next is gears 3:73, then headers with full true dual exhaust, then stall.

Then, hell.. who knows!

I ran a best of 8.54 with my '98 Camaro. My mods at the time:
-SLP lid
-SLP MAF ends
-Free mods (!EGR,!FRA,!TB Bypass)
-Dynomax cat-back
I have an A4 and I run on SUCKY street tires with a best 60' of 2.09.That 8.5 was done in cold weather and my average in warmer times is around an 8.64 with me running 8.60's all night in decent weather.Hope this helped!

Cool, I was just trying to figure out how my car added up vs everyone elses. I am pretty happy with the times I am pulling so far. I can't wait to say I have a "12 sec" car.
