my very first run on the dyno =)
my very first run on the dyno =)
(near) stock 2001 camaro ss m6
mods:
grantelli maf
mti clear lid
put down 330whp and 347 ft/lb tq on a dynojet. seems like a pretty decent starting point to me
.
my first pull netted me 310.6 whp and 325.9 ft/lb tq. thanks lt1dave.com! picked up over 20/20 on the tune alone
.
ill try tp link the dyno sheet later when i have time.

Re: my very first run on the dyno =)
running 330/347 in cincinnati shouldn't be hard to pull 12's at all.
I was able to, running essentially his same mods, plus exhaust, minus tune on a 2000 Z28 M6
Sweet numbers though martin! I'm definitely gonna have dave tune mine now!

yep, dave does really good work. he told me 12.7 shouldn't be a problem at all on a good day. so if you factor in my l33t0 driving skills that should put me in the mid 13's neighborhood
. my biggest fear right now is breakage. the big reason im still stock(ish) is my money has been funneled into the house. if i go down to the track ill hit mid/low 13's. ill really want to run 12's and will eventually succumb to the urging of my car friends to slap on a pair of their licks. one snapped rear later im having my car towed back to my place. the urge to drive my car again will become to great to resist. so ill eventually opt for a used 12 bolt for like 700 bucks and quickly figure out why i got it so cheap as its mind racking whinning will remind me eerily of my ex gf. as i drive by small children will cry and women will be too afraid of my car to get in. not to mention that i will be broke, frustrated, angry, and always have a migrane. much like when i was dating my ex... *ponders* yeah, probably a good idea to avoid the track for a bit longer
.ill get there eventually. but probably not until i have some money set aside just for the car.

They sell programmers that you can tune the car with yourself, but if you can get a good deal on the tuning elsewhere, prolly a good idea. It basically resets alot of your factory settings in your computer such as when yer fans come on, your fuel, shiftpoints i believe if its an A4, !CAGS for M6, etc.
