Question my trans is bucking??

today while i was riding on the highway i decided to let's say floor the pedal because i had thought that early in the day that i felt the transmission buck somewhat when i made a turn. so i head out on the highway and i get to about 70 mph and decide to hit the pedal to the floor to see how the transmission react's, i then floor the car and the car bucked about 3 times after flooring it, i right away step off the pedal and say to myself there's a problem!

what could the problem be guys?

if it made a thud under your car and sounded like it was banging, then your tranny mount needs to be replaced. I would suggest the Energy Suspension unit.

It most likely is the transmission mount (these cars are notorious for ripping those babies. A less likely scenario would be a failing fuel pump, but I doubt that's your problem.

thanks jim, i was going to take the car for a test ride today but it's raining pretty hard right now. i'm going to take it to the dealer next week to have the problem checked out.

thanks again!

tranny mount is an easy fix. from my experience, if it fails.. it will do so again.. and probably sooner.

Thats why I went for the end all ES tranny mount.. its fail safe so if the unthinkable were to happen and it did fail, it would still work! hehe

Could yall describe what I should do if I have the same problem.

Also if you all think that I have the same problem as eric did how much would it cost to get a tranny mount and have it installed? Can anyone tell me where to find the energy suspension tranny mount?

Honestly, if you can change your own tires, you shouldn't pay someone to install the tranny mount.

Jack the car up, unbolt the mount, jack the trans up, and slide the new mount in. Lower trans, bolt mount to crossmember, let car down. Done.

my car only made the sound when i floored the car going 70 mph. the trans bucked about 3 times when i had the gas to the floor.

i have not bought the part yet and i'm looking to install the part myself.
