theres no way it fell off. i had my hooker exhaust pop off twice (before i welded it) and both times my car made it home without the muffler falling off. the hooks are more than enough to hold it in place

Re: My f*#@$ing flowmaster fell off!!!!!!!

ok well after more deliberation here is where im at now. I know it was on thuesday afternoon, but off friday morning. I also dont think that it fell off, but i cant see when or how anyone wouldve stolen it. I mean, it would be quite a job to remove that without the car on a lift. The pipe from the y pipe to the axle is still there though, its only removed from the axle back. The only time my car was away from me for a long enough period of time was at home, and i live out in the country, and we have a gated driveway and dogs, and i have an alarm, so it wouldve been pretty difficult to steal. I cant figure this out at all guys, It should be on Unsolved Mysteries. The case of the raptured flowmaster.

Ok.. the I pipe is ther but the pipe, muffler and tail pieces are gone right?

Sure that can fall but then again if it did, you are the 1st I have ever heard of and will not be allowed near a set of wrenches again.. You will be awarded the toilet brush since you may be capable of using that properly. J/K! hahha

I have had a couple of Flowmaster setups on Fbods and must say, NO WAY it would fall off. But I am no mechanical slouch and my Dads been a mechanic since he was a kid..

So if it wasnt stolen, you need to learn to turn wrenches..
Lesson #1 righty tighty lefty loosey..

Good Luck! Good to see this community being as helpful as it is! Right off the bat you have offers of exhaust replacements! woo hoo!
Ya could just get a local muffler shop to weld on a bullet (summit racing has them for like $40) and some tail pipe.. be done with it.

Why someone would steal a flowmaster cat-back is what really has me baffled... and why someone would install one in the first place might just keep me up for a few nights...

Hey, hey, hey!!!! Don't be Flow-bashing now!!!

Maybe they don't "flow" like some, but at least it makes the car sound like a 5.0L Mustang!! And doesn't everybody want their car to sound just like a Mustang!??

Hm. I don't think they make a car sound like a mustang in any way. LOL I personally hate the way they sound on fbodies, but that's just me. to each his own.
