Ok, so I have a 2000 Camaro z28 Auto right now with only a Slp LM exhaust and a carbon fiber air lid with a K&N. Can someone give me a list of a more mods I should consider putting on my car next and why?

Thanks alot.

a torque converter REALLY wakes A4 cars up, make sure to get a tranny cooler too, to keep the tranny in good shape.

a good TC is said to drop several tenths off 1/4 mi times...

you could also look into gears.

or do some suspension work to make it more fun to drive

Which torque converter? I don't really want gears because it makes the gas mileage worse than it already is. As far as the suspension, here in south florida there are really no sharp turns, hills and other cool things that you would use it for, as you know. I was thinking about maybe a swaybars.

Any other relatively cheap mods you think would be nice? I already am getting a Y-pipe to, btw.

I would to, but the thing is my car is a daily driver and i don't want it to be that loud. Unless of course there is one kinda of header system that wouldent make my set up Slp y pipe and Slp Loudmouth to much louder?

Skip the Y pipe, if won't give much if anything plus
should you choose headers you'll probably need a different
one.

I say Sub frame connectors(search for SFC)
I'm yet to see someone with them with isn't happy
and it will improve your ride while maintaining its
integrity especally w/ttops.

mods...
go to AC Delco paper air filter.. Get rid of K&N..
that will give you some power.

suspension isnt just for turns.. its good for straight line too.

If you want a good straight line car:
- gears (3.73) shouldnt hurt your MPG and your MPG should be at 20+mpg
- y-pipe dont let the naysayers sway ya.. There is good power to be found there. but if you do go the route of headers you may have to change..
- TC but no more than 2800 stall.. Way too often on here i have seen stock cars with 3500 stall.. That is just insane.. 2800 should be plenty to get you launching good..
- Trans Cooler.. I used a B&M 25000GVW unit.. Was about the size of a sheet of paper.. not too bad..
- pulley, yes they work.. Definately a decent mod.
-lower control arms
-panhard rod
-ES poly tranny mount
-ES poly Torque arm bushing
-Airbag placed in right rear and inflated to 21psi when at the track

those are all pretty cheap mods and your car will be happy with them.
Good luck..

Tires will also never hurt.

Get the SFC, some tires, gears, and the TQ. The gears and the TQ will really make your car come alive. The SFC and the tires will make sure that the power hits the pavement. Get some nitto's for the track.

yeah there may not be any "curves" in florida, but just normal driving around streets can be much more fun it you can cut them a bit faster.

a good choice would be the Suspension Tech 35mm front bar. alot of guys are running just this with the stock rear for autoX so it must work. personally i LOVE my BMR 32/21mm solid front and rear bars...good upgrade for about $325 shipped.

i have an M6 so i don't know brands of TC...other than what you always read...Vigilante seems to be popular. do a search.

i was very happy with my ASP underdrive pulley. i have no problems with charging and it seemed to help out on top end.

and since we are in HOT florida, i would look into a lower thermostat, like the Hypertech 160 degree one. it keeps the engine at a lower opperating temp for more performance. and since it never really gets cold you don't have to worry so much about running too cool or losing heat (which mine seems unaffected by the way)

TC decreases gas mileage too but by a very tiny amount....i recommend a good 3200 stall vigilante or TCI 3500....good street/strip converters....also you can't do headers with a loudmouth if you dont want your car to be too much louder....i have this set up and it sounds like a 747 taking off....happy modding.

EDIT: also i saw the ASP pulley mentioned above....its a little expensive but it gave me an honest 3 mph in the 1/4 on a consistent basis not bad for a pulley...would have given me ET too but i couldnt get my 60 foot times down to where they should be that day so basically i was running the same ET with more mph with worse 60's...must have picked up something from the ASP..
