Milage to get the LS1 tuned up?

I have had no problems with my engine. Has about 62K miles on it. I have had it since 30k miles and have never got a tune-up on it. It still runs great but I think it 's about time. My warranty is expired and I don't want anything major to happen to it.

When have most of you received a tune-up on your LS1's?

I DON'T run synthetic either.

I'd like to take it to a performance shop to get it done to tweek it to the best performance. Does anyone know what that usually costs. I'd like to run it on the LS1 laptop program.

Thanks

not really sure what you would get tuned up

there isn't a distributer or anything like that

i would say just buy some new plugs and wires...install them yourself..not that hard.

taylor spiro-pro wires for $50
ngk tr55 plugs for $2 each

could also go and do a radiator flush, trans fluid change, rear diff fluid change, and new fuel filter and surpentine belt(s)

Owners manual recommends inpection of spark plug wires and replacement of spark plugs at 100,000 miles, both city and highway miles. pg 7-6.
