with a .525 lift, what rpm is that good for as far as the springs are concerned?

I thought it was like .55 or .575

 

That's for LS6 springs. If you're doing any kind of cam upgrade...just do the springs to. If it's a cam with .550 or less lift, use LS6 springs. They're not too expensive.

 

weren't the first year LS6 springs only good for .550"?? seems like i always see it listed as "02 LS6 springs, max lift .570"

i say just buy GOOD springs for $30-40 more than the LS6 and have the peace of mind that you have enough lift capacity
