those of you with the Z (not SS), how much HP did you gain by installing the magnaflow catback (15684)

on an otherwise bolt on car, i would say a solid 10hp...you really can't expect too much more than that...

I tell you what.........

I've never dynoed my car, but after the install, there was a much greater throttle response and enough horsepower gain to tell a NOTICEABLE difference. I have loved mine since I got it.

yeah you "should" be able to install it yourself using clamps. but if you want it welded up...probably about an hour of work at a shop...so maybe $50-75 depending

I don't think just adding a cat-back to a stock car will add too much power. Install some LTs and you might see a 10 RWHP jump, but I would never expect much otherwise. I would highly recommend the system, it sounds really good.

This is incorrect. You should see around 10+rwhp from just a catback - if you're going from a non-SS/WS6 LS1 f-body. A little less if you have an SS or WS6 exhaust. You should see at least that much *more* again if you add longtubes...
Good luck!
