I'm looking at getting the mac midlength headers for my 01 TA, they look pretty decent. They look like they would go in easier than longtubes, and have a better ground clearance. So i'm also looking at the cats they sell with the Y pipe, I could get them cheaper--soundcats go for around 50 bucks, but after shipping and having them installed I'm only going to save maybe 30 bucks. So gettting them already attached to the pipe would be easier. I read one review that said they were junk and slowed the car way down. I would like to hear more opinions.

Also for those that have these headers, will the Y pipe hook up to the stock exhaust, or will i need to have it welded as well ,or can i just use some type of clamps.

I have the headers and i have the cat'd ypipe on my car. I cant tell you bout install b/c they were on the car when i bought it. I have also heard that the cats are crappy, but im not for sure. It looks like the stock catback will hook right up to the ypipe, it looks like nothing was done to it on mine anyways. I have nothing bad to say about the headers at all...and ground clearance is much better then the Jet-hot LT's i put on my 95 Z28. I think that if the cats end up being a problem ill replace them with some Random tech high flows or just do away with cats all together!

Their cats suck. Go to installuniversity.com and look at the flow chart they have. Mac cats are barely better than stockers.

I have Mac headers w/their off road Y that has carsound/magnaflow cats in it.
