Question M6 Shifter?

Right now I have the Hurst shifter in my 00' Trans Am. I was wondering which is a better shifter between the Pro 5.0 and the B&M Ripper Shifter? Or should I just stay with the Hurst and be just the same as the upgrades?

A friend of mine has the Hurst option on his car. He is not going to get another one b/c its not going to shorten the distance enough for him to consider it. I however plan on ordering a B&M Ripper here within the week.

If I had extendo arms, sure I would use them to steal me some sticky buns. But I would also use them to rescue children stuck in wells!

Keep your shifter. Check out www.angelfire.com/fl/lscamaross/lous2.html .

$50, and a better idea. Check it out. Cool pics too!

Question

Have you or anyone else used the Short Stick? I'm considering one for a factory '02 Hurst in a Z28 and would love to know how it feels compared to stock. Thanks in advance.

I'm going to try a Spectacle Solutions short stick on my 2001 WS6 this weekend. We're doing a fun run, and the guy who makes them is going to let me install it on my Hurst to see if I like it.

I'll let you know.

Well, from what I can tell, the Hurst option which I have is a stiffer and shorter shift/throw compared to the regular stock shifter. I drove a 99' Z28 with the regular and the car I now own with the Hurst and there was a huge difference between the two, I was just wondering if the B&M or the Pro 5.0 were better?

The Kirban shifter is better than both of them. Had one in my 95 Z28, and currently have one in my 98 T/A.

My car didn't come with the factory hurst option, but I did put in the SLP short throw, and lou's short stick. Major difference. Much better than stock, and much tighter. Check out the pics in my sig...
