LSX intakes are out!

My personal one will be here tommorow, but I thought I would share the gains that I have seen so far. On a bolt-on car with a LS-1 intake, the car gained 20.5 rwhp and 17.5 rwtq. Only change being the manifold.
On a bolt on car with a LS-6 intake and LS-6 cam, the car gained 13 rwhp and 12 rwtq. Only change being the manifold.
Both cars got the 78mm version of the intake. Neither car had any tuning done, so gains look very promising in the near future.

Well, since I order pretty much everything I order from TR, that's probably where I'd get the LSX...if I were to get one. I know they're going to have it but I dunno how backed up they are with the pre-orders.

Call them to find out: 877-516-7223 (RACE)

I believe pricing was around $800 for the 78mm and $850 or so for the 90mm.

All the info I got was from Thunder Racing. I also ordered mine from them. I was the first person to order through them back in Sept. They do have quite a few pre-orders left to fill seeings how Comp/FAST only shipped them 5 total. My total was $910, but I have to pay a in state tax of 8.5%.

Any chance of the price coming down a bit?

It may make good power, but almost $900 for a manifold is a lotof money. I should've slapped myself before paying $600 for the Borla.

I'd say the stock LS-1/6 intake hole is around 78mm. Your paying for the new runner design if you buy the 78mm version. 90mm should be where it is at despite what some say. I just found out that the stock throttle body will not work on my 90mm FAST intake, so I now have to wait to install it until the 90mm TB's come out.

the only reason i'm gonna swing for it is cuz they are doing direct port for em and that would kill 2 birds with one stone

what modifications to the EGR need to be made to put this on the 99/00 model years? does the EGR need to be removed or does it have provisions for it? and when buying it does it come with all the hoses needed to reroute the coolant?

and i'm assuming since the stock tb bolts to it, an 80mm aftermarket unit will bolt up to it...the 78mm intake anyway.

It comes with the EGR port molded shut and has instructions on how to open it up if you need to.
This intake has 2 really neat features that LS1/6 intakes don't.
Molded in direct port nitrous bosses and it can be split into 2 halves so that it can be custom ported.
